Hello,
Harcourt Assessment is looking for individuals with high IQs to assist
with the standardization of the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale, 4th
edition (WAIS-IV). Qualifying individuals will be paid $40 to take a
practice version of the WAIS-IV, which will take about 3 hours to
complete.
I am contacting you because of your close affiliation with MENSA,
whose members will be ideal candidates to participate in this project.
To qualify, an individual must meet the following criteria:
- Is between the ages of 16 and 64.
- Has been labeled Gifted and Talented in the past.
- Has an IQ of 130 or greater and can provide documentation.
Harcourt needs high IQ individuals to take our practice test so that
we can get an idea of what the "ceiling" will be on the assessment
once it has been published. Essentially, those people who score the
highest will be "setting the bar" for future Mensa members! Of course,
all test scores are completely confidential and will be reported in a
way that ensures every individual's complete privacy.
Harcourt also needs qualified examiners to administer the assessment
batteries. All clinical psychologists, school psychologists,
speech-language pathologists, neuropsychologists and educational
diagnosticians are eligible to participate as examiners on this
project.
Examiners will receive $75 for their time and, with the completion of
5 cases, will be mentioned in the published manual.
We will begin the testing in February 2007, so there is still plenty
of time to decide whether or not to participate.
If you would like information on how you can enroll as either an
examiner or examinee for this project, please contact me at
1-800-233-5686 x8210 or reply to this email message. Please forward
this message to any friends, colleagues or relatives that may be
interested in participating as either examiners or examinees.
