Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 10, 2026 · Last updated: April 10, 2026Puzz.com, LLC ("Puzz.com", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit Puzz.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using Puzz.com, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide directly
- Account information — if you sign up for a Puzz.com account, we collect your username, email address, and an encrypted password. Optional profile information may include avatar and display name.
- Game and puzzle activity — scores, completed puzzles, chat messages in multiplayer lobbies, and leaderboard rankings.
- Contact information — if you email us, submit feedback, or request support, we keep a record of that correspondence.
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and browser data — IP address, device type, operating system, browser type and version, language settings, and screen size.
- Usage data — pages visited, time spent on pages, puzzles attempted or completed, referral source, search terms used on Puzz.com, and crash or error logs.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 4 and our separate Cookie Policy.
1.3 Information from third parties
If you sign in using a third-party service (for example Google), we receive a basic profile bundle permitted by that service. Advertising partners may share demographic and interest data to improve the ads you see.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate and maintain Puzz.com, including the multiplayer game lobby, puzzle archive, and leaderboards;
- Create and secure your account, authenticate sign-ins, and prevent abuse or fraud;
- Respond to support requests, announcements, and legal notices you send us;
- Measure site performance, diagnose bugs, and improve usability;
- Serve contextual advertising through Google AdSense and partner ad networks;
- Send optional emails about new puzzles, contests, or product updates — you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send;
- Comply with applicable laws, court orders, or lawful requests from government authorities.
3. Advertising, Google AdSense, and Third-Party Networks
Puzz.com is monetized through display advertising. We and our advertising partners use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to deliver relevant ads and measure their effectiveness.
- Google AdSense — a Google advertising technology. Google may use the DoubleClick DART cookie and other identifiers to show ads based on your visit to Puzz.com and other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info/choices.
- Other ad partners — we may work with additional ad networks, header-bidding SSPs, and measurement vendors. Each partner has its own privacy policy. Collectively these partners may use non-sensitive information such as your IP address, approximate location, device type, and advertising ID for frequency capping, measurement, and personalization.
- Do Not Track — our website does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals because there is no industry consensus on how to interpret them.
4. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, measure how visitors interact with Puzz.com, and serve relevant advertising. For a full list of cookie categories and how to control them, please read our Cookie Policy. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some parts of Puzz.com may not work correctly if you do.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited cases:
- Service providers — hosting, content delivery, analytics, email delivery, and customer support vendors that help us operate Puzz.com, bound by contractual confidentiality and data-protection terms;
- Advertising partners — limited information as described in Section 3;
- Legal and safety — when required by law, subpoena, or court order; to protect our rights, property, or safety; or to investigate fraud or abuse;
- Corporate transactions — if Puzz.com, LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the protections of this Privacy Policy.
6. Data Retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes. Aggregated, de-identified statistics may be retained indefinitely for analytics and product development.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- Request deletion of your information (the "right to be forgotten");
- Object to or restrict certain processing activities;
- Opt out of personalized advertising (see Section 3);
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your jurisdiction.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with the subject line "Privacy Request" and a brief description of what you are asking for. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
Puzz.com is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information in error, please contact us at [email protected] and we will promptly delete it.
9. International Users
Puzz.com is hosted in the United States. If you access Puzz.com from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. By using Puzz.com, you consent to such transfer.
10. GDPR / EEA Users
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the legal bases we rely on to process your personal data are: (a) your consent, where required; (b) the performance of a contract (providing the Puzz.com service to you); (c) our legitimate interests in operating and improving Puzz.com; and (d) compliance with legal obligations.
11. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act and CPRA, California residents have the right to request access, deletion, and correction of their personal information, and the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. Puzz.com does not sell personal information. To opt out of personalized advertising, see Section 3. To submit a request, email [email protected].
12. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information — including HTTPS encryption, encrypted password storage, restricted administrative access, and regular security reviews. No internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
