You turn the corner and draw your sword prepared for orcs,dragons, demons, or any other creature bent on your destruction.  Instead you find astrange pulsating crystal ball. As you approach it you notice that there is a swirlingmist within.   You stand in awe of this beautiful object. You begin to feel lethargicas you continue staring and then you start to hear a whisper.  Are you goingmad?  What is it? Then the mist starts to part and a beautiful young djinni appears.

"You have questions, don't you," she says in a liltingsoothing voice.

"Y-Yes," you stammer.  "Wh-What's going on?Where am I? Who are you?"

"I am Mena of the Sphere," the lovely lady says. "I have been locked here for eternity.  I was once a powerful sorceress and queen ofthe fairies until I was cursed by the sorcerer Ragnarok."

"Ragnarok! Isn't that supposed to be the end of everything," you ask.

"Yes.  The end is drawing near and it has takenform," she says with an ominous tone.      "It's avatarwalks this world and has been very busy orchestrating the events that will doom ourplanet! As you can imagine, this being is an incarnation of the purest evil.  Itpossesses an entity and then replaces it's life force with it's own.  Since the beastis so powerful the hosts expire quickly.  That is why the beast is looking for you,Daegon."

"Me?  Why me?"

"You have a very powerful mind and a strong life force.  This monstrous entity can fulfill many evil deeds with you as the catalyst. This iswhy you must flee this dark denizen."

"How can I flee when the end is nigh? I might as well try toflee from  my shadow."

"You must travel to Amgine's Keep.  He is the keeper ofknowledge, the pedantic patriarch. He will surely save you from Ragnarok but first youmust pass a rigorous test of the mind.  I SENSE HIM!  THERE IS NO TIME! I WILLSEND YOU FAR AWAY!  HE IS COMING!"

Suddenly, there is an explosion and energy starts to coursethrough the walls and a demonic green visage appears in the center of the room.

HA!HA!HA!HA!HA!

"I have come for you Daegon," the demon roars.  "The djinni speaks the truth.  It is futile to resist."

"Get ready, Daegon," Mena screams.  "I willsend you far away from this place!"

The djinni's crystal ball starts to emit a bright purple lightthat bathes the room in it's surreal essence.  You feel your body start to tingle anddiscorporate.  You start to scream from shock....

PROCEED
