Cards are red and black (spades and clubs are black, diamonds and hearts are red), 2 jokers (jest twice), diamonds (diamonds are a girl's best friend, or so I'm told), jack (of all trades), spade (gardening tool), heart (as in Poe's story The Tell-Tale Heart).
