Here is an answer I also accepted. It is from Nathan Glasser:
"'Sallust'
In case you doubt that this answer is valid, reference.com lists Sallust as:
Roman politician and historian known for his account of the conspiracy
of Catiline.
Hence, he is 'a member of an ancient group of people', the Romans.
Replacing 'ust' with 'y' gives sally, which I think is consistent with
'moving quickly with little time available'.
I think Hurrian is better, but this appears to work also.
